Didcot Pride
Branding designed to spread love and stand strong!
LGBTQ+ brand design for a local community Pride event
Didcot Pride began in June 2026 as a new community event. It was set up for the local LGBTQ+ community to celebrate equality, support human rights, and offer a safe place for everyone to enjoy entertainment, food, drinks, and activities together.
The team asked MVP Digital to help with event branding and to design a poster that would make Didcot Pride feel genuine and attract interest for its first year. Our goal was to create a brand that would last, help the community grow, and be easy to recognise in the future.
We looked into Didcot’s history, learned about the event’s goals, and worked with the team to create a brand that connects with LGBTQ+ history and captures the bold, exciting spirit of Pride. The approval process went smoothly, and the poster got people talking. The first year of Didcot Pride was a success.
Design services we provided:

Brand Design
After researching the market and Didcot’s history, and drawing on the UK’s Pride movement, we created a kit that tells the story of Didcot Pride.
The logo uses a bold wordmark and a steam train illustration to connect with Didcot’s locomotive heritage. We also created brand guidelines to keep the look and messaging consistent, and designed the poster for their debut annual Pride event.

Event Poster Design
With a clear strategy of authenticity and professional brand-building, the Didcot Pride team were dedicated to investing in human-led design over AI.
We worked to ensure the branding was clearly present and the poster was visually engaging, while striking the right balance of text and imagery. Hence, all event details were readable and understandable.

Social Media Optimisation
Finally, after the poster design is signed off, we offer not only A-Sheet exports (or the client’s required format) with each poster design, but also exports in social media formats.
Social media is a constant tool for event promotion, allowing event brands to engage with their audience and event visitors.
Hence, it’s key to optimise exports for various social media channels to ensure all details are communicated correctly, the design isn’t affected by cropping or unwanted alterations, and the brand maintains a professional touch, so everything looks industry-standard.
